Stuart Goodin
Board Member
Stuart is the Vicar (senior minister) of St Peter’s Anglican Church in Palmerston North. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics, and had a lengthy commercial career in one of New Zealand’s largest companies. While continuing that career he studied for a Diploma in Theology and was ordained in 2001 as a self-supporting priest in a Wellington parish. He left business and moved to full-time stipended ministry when he was appointed vicar in Whanganui in 2012. He went on to lead the four parishes there through a major change programme leading to amalgamation. During that time he also served as the regional archdeacon. He became vicar of St Peter’s Palmerston North during lockdown in 2020.
Alongside being vicar, Stuart facilitates training for new clergy, serves on the Diocesan Board of Trustees, and holds various other governance positions in local and regional social service agencies.
Stuart is married to Christine, and they have two adult children and two grandchildren. For relaxation he enjoys singing (he’s a member of a Palmerston North choral group), reading, cryptic crosswords, and walking.

Katarina Gray-Sharp
Board Member
Katarina represents the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes where she sings in music ministry. With almost three decades of governance experience, her current appointments include a local government subcommittee and a statutory body administering Crown reserves. She recently became a Member of the Institute of Directors as part of her work directing a sheep and beef operation southwest of Waiōuru.
An academic, Katarina studies methodology, responsibility, and anthropogenic mass extinction. After years teaching policy at Massey University's School of Social Work, she appreciates the quieter pace of doctoral supervision and research. She teaches karanga (short form oratory in te reo Māori) and enjoys Sudoku, walking the family Huntaway, and little garden jobs.
