Rangatahi Raukura Basketball
Tuesday 3:30pm - 5:00pm
The Rangatahi Raukura Basketball Programme is a dynamic initiative designed for rangatahi who are not in traditional school settings, offering them a safe, supportive space to connect, build skills, and foster a sense of belonging. This programme provides a unique opportunity for these young people to engage in regular physical activity while developing important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and leadership.
Beyond basketball skills, the programme prioritises mental well-being, identity, and community connection, helping rangatahi develop confidence and resilience. It is open to rangatahi enrolled in educational services like Freyberg High School, Horizons Alternative Education, and Achievement NZ. With support from community members, this programme ensures that rangatahi have a space where they are valued, connected, and empowered.

Raising Self-Esteem For Women and Girls Programme
One-On-One Six Sessions
The Raising Self-Esteem Programme for Women and Girls are delivered through a supportive one-on-one journey across six sessions, creating a safe space to build confidence, self-awareness and emotional strength at your own pace.
Each session works through a guided workbook designed to help you explore your thoughts, beliefs, and experiences, with practical tools to support:
building self-worth and confidence
shifting unhelpful thinking patterns
improving self-talk and emotional wellbeing
strengthening resilience and coping skills
This one-on-one approach means the programme is tailored to you, allowing space to talk, reflect, and grow in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful. After completing the six sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to join optional monthly workshops, where you can connect with others who have completed the programme. These sessions are creative and empowering, with activities such as affirmation boards, vision boards and other hands-on experiences that support confidence and a sense of achievement.
Workshops are available after completing the programme, helping create a safe and supportive group environment where everyone shares a similar journey. All sessions and workshops are fully funded, making the programme accessible and easy to engage with.
